Not the ECU. New one in..., no change.
Probed the cps plug. four terminals..., each of the three tested with the fourth... showed what the spec called for. Check grounds...? (little more detail) So as for wiring..., and I read other threads last night... I take it that the wiring harnes coming to the cps... could be suspect, takes a lot of heat, often the culprit...? Also think I saw where you commented, on difernet thread, swapping/ replacing the plug,... is this all the same subject? Looking at a repair manual..., it was calling to measure the gap three places down in the cps... can do, but is this a logical problem...
