CPS=Cam Position Sensor, or distributor if you're non turbo.
Also check that your cps/distributor is installed properly (engine at TDC compression stroke, marks aligned on cps shaft). Long ago when I first started working on these, I had my dizzy 180? off (oops) and it would "run" a few rotations on ether every now and then.
