Smoky

One day I wus driving my mk3 supra and all of sudden white smoke started to appear from my muffler. At first I though it wus the head gasket so I replace that but it still smoke. So I replace the stock standard turbo with a new ct26 but it still smokes. There wus no crack on the block or what so ever. Does anybody know. maybe its my piston ring or some what. Because the smoke has a sweet like smell and I notice that my coolant drains and begain to overheat. Any suggestion.

Well, no doubt then that it is coolant. If you did have a bad head gasket or turbo, you could be burning whatever coolant it left in the exhaust. It can sometimes take awhile to burn off. Other possible (but unlikely) points that coolant can enter the combustion chambers are throttle body and the IAC valve. Have you done a compression test since the new HG?

Did you follow the correct "burping" procedure when filling the coolant? if you havent done many miles it could just be a combination of coolant in exhaust burning off as stated above, and airlocks in the system (can be serious so make damn sure it is burped).

However i'd suggest the compression test as a matter of course and then only if the comps check out maybe just ensure it really is burped (can't stress enough GET RID of airlocks before use) and run it a while to see if the steam & coolant level dropping stops

Otherwise, if compressions are out then Houston we have a problem (these lumps are one of the most sensitive I've known to having the job done properly, dead flat head/block decks, perfectly clean from previous HG, cleaned out bolt holes & ideally new bolts lubed up before fitting & torquing to 75lb NOT 58lb, good quality gasket used etc)

Ok ill go and to that and see if thats the case but thanks you guys

Ok..i did what you guys told me to accept I did do the compression test yet cus I dont have one. But any way it still smoke. Specelly when I put new oil in it. It tends to be lot more smoke. Could it be the piston ring or something else.

Are the oil or coolant contaminated?

Well....i give up...geuse im going to swap it out with another motor. That will stress less for me
