fuel line upgrade
 

i have a 87 supra was wanderin if anyone has done a teflon/steel braid up grade to their lines was looking around and aeroequip seems like the best but wandering if anyone ran into problems with metric adapters or if there is anyone out there that sells kits.

I run braided stainless hoses from the tank to the engine and back. It's alot of money and not really necessary unless you're doing a big build. I would suggest sinking the money other areas of the car unless the fuel lines are in need of attention (mine were rusty ,so i kinda went nuts). I used a mix of Aeroquip, Earls and DM pieces. They all were of good quality and I would recommend any of them. I had to make the lines from the tank to the engine but Drift Motion sells the FPR hose kit, damper bypass hose and CSI braided hose. The adapters are no problem as long as you know which ones you need, you can order them from many vendors.

Sure, there is alot of adapters and I did it almost 2 years ago so I will have to dig up the receipts for the actual part #'s. I used 3/8 braided fuel line with fittings, adapters and a fuel filter are all Earls ordered from Summit. I think its all 6AN but don't remember the thread sizes off the top of my head. I need to redo it all anyway, it was done more out of necessity at the time. If you want, after summer, I will take some pics when I redo the whole fuel system. Maybe even a write up. I still think if your hard lines are in good shape and you're not running a giant pump and injectors, it is a waste of money.

yea unless you need a giant hose to suck all that fuel your stock lines will be good. or also like you said in your case, their rusted out.

Yeah the stock pipe is almost 10mm which is basically 3/8 which is exactly 6AN. No performance or flow gain here, just looks cool and doesn't clog my injectors with rust.
I will put something with sizes and part #'s together for you, just give me a little time.
