92 turbo targa front caliper upgrades??

What can I use? Having trouble finding parts at a decent price, will the ls400 swap work if I just find the calipers and a set of 17s? I found a good writeup on the process but its for a mkiv. Is there any bolt on, hassle free upgrades without spensing over $1000, or should I just get new, loaded oem replacements? My Calipers are entirely toast , the guy I bought the car from was trying to kill me, both sides were missing slider bolts so they started hopping on the rotors and siezed on me. Upon inspection I discovered capped off, empty bolt hoes where slider bolts should have been, on both front calipers! I took onse side off, bench broke the sliders loose, messed one up but remachined it, got everything proper and much to my disappointment, cant mount them safely because I cant find new slider bolts

there is a set of 4 piston calipers you can put on but that dosnt really make a difference with our size rotors. Either use stock or do a complete expensive upgrade, are you two viable options .

The 4 piston calipers are from a Previa. They are bolt on. It was researched that the total friction area was equal to or less than the stock supra brakes making it a pointless swap. As Green recommended go stock until you can afford a real BBK. There are many available that are very nice and reasonably priced (1200 is cheap, check how much the cost is for some newer cars).

By the way, nice score on a 92! The only year MK3 with a decent resale value. Please take care of it, there's not too many of that year.

I just read an article in car and driver on brake pads and how they differ.

As far as the calipers go. A while back one of my calipers seized up so I bought 2 remans off of rockauto since they are just rebuilt toyota ones.

Thanks

Thanks for the responses everyone, I scored all four stock calipers for $60, a rebuilt R154+ everything, EVERYTHING, needed for swap and a spare rebuilt 7mge for $200. Taken care of, seeing to that! Also gave her new targa mounts for trunk, prev owner lost em.

Meh

there was 1 more at the yard, well stripped, but I think the calipers were there. Im in marysville, Wa, not sure where you are but it took me like ten minutes to get all four calipers off, i could grab more if you need em, I had to refurb em.
