stock bypass valve or bov

I have an 87 turbo supra and I just wanted to know, is there a stock bypass valve or bov on the 7mgte cause I know wen I hitting boost n let off I hear air being released but my ? Is from where is it coming from?

Stock uses a bypass valve. They do make swooshy noises. Do you have an aftermarket air filter? Mine definitely got louder when I removed the air filter box.

no my car is all stock except a 2.5in catback that came with the car and a boost controller im bout to get an intercooler kit and bov and go 3in downpipe with 3in catback but i wanna know where is the bypass valve?

It is the small diaphragm looking thing between the 3000 pipe and the accordion hose off the turbo. It has a vacuum hose to it as well.

you shouldnt really hear a LOUD woosh. lol make sure your couplers leading off the accordion hose and the inter cooler are tight. including the throttle plate pipe.

its not so much its loud i can just hear it at night really only. but i know my intake hose is trashed and thrashed real bad. and i know i have a huge boost leak cause i cant hold max boost for anything. hense for me getting an intercooler kit for my car my stock piping is all messed up for the guy who owned it before me.

I have a k&n intake and such and everything else is stock. My cat is clogged and I'm fixing that in like the next 4 days but my bypass valve sounds like a flutter. Its tight on there but I'm curious if its going bad? And if there is poor circulation out of the exhaust, could exhaust be coming out of the bypass? Like so much pressure its coming out the bypass? Is that possible?

Ok so I found my bypass valve my next ? Is wen I do my intercooler kit where would I put the bov? Do I used a flanged pipe or do I just get an aftermarker bov thats universal n put it n the same place as the stock bypass valve?

Sassan- You can either keep the bypass valve on the accordion tube or plug it off and yes you need need a flange pipe for the bov unless it comes with one like the intercooler kit from driftmotion.

Awyman18- if there was so much pressure coming out of the bypass valve your engine would blow. there is no way for pressure like that to happen unless your timing is off and have back fire coming through the intake, thats possible but your engine wouldnt run. also im not sure if your bpv is going bad.
