what is the top speed of our mkiii's? stock

It depends on the cop who has you on radar. Some will let you go 10 over the posted limit.

Lol ^ Cop once told me: 5 = your fine, 10 = you're mine.

Car and Driver review of an 87 NA 5speed put it at 131 but at that speed at least where I am from is a serious ticket or possibly losing you license. Not to mention your mk3 should be in top shape.

Can we just keep this post on the serious side. Just wondering what the top speed is thanks. On another forum people are saying 260 km\h

How can we be serious with stupid questions lol.....No offense but this is something that you could figure out on your own several different ways......As for the answer I don't know my motto is go boost or go home!!

My top speed so far, with tire size corrected, is 146mph with a mostly stock 88 7MGE. An Apexi a/f is the only mod.
Being semi-responsible and liking my license a lot, I only get into triple digits between 1 & 5 in the morning on a lonely 10.2 mile long interstate bridge, 4 mins & 15 sec to cross.
I am a retired Toyota master tech and mine is a tight 1 owner ride that screams @ 6500.

BTW, cre posted this chart of where the mk3 should base line & 260 kph = 161.55651 mph, not out of reach IMO.
