flywheel spacing
can anyone help with a quick measurement? need to know the distance from the flywheel face to the back of the engine block on a 7mgte manual?

Not exactly what you asked for, but it may help. The distance from the mounting surface on the crank to the machined block casting is 0.800 thou.

thanks for checking that, i do really need the flywheel hight though. i have a r154 box going on to a mitsubishi evo engine in my anglia and need the flywheel face hight so i can get my new flywheel made. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b56/cirgriff/AAA.jpg |
Suggestion: Lots on Ebay new & used, email the sellers and ask for the diameter. I have a spare engine in my garage on an engine stand. Post the diameter and I can calculate the dimensions you need.

i believe hes talking about the distance from the bellhousing mounting surface to the friction surface of the flywheel, so he may manufacture the proper thickness flywheel. unfortunately i dont have access to my complete turbo block yet. sorry man :/

nice bill! i agree with your choice in block paint, looks just like mine.

Plasti-Kote Hot Paint Link , you probably have a similar product in the US. It never totally cure’s until it has gone through a few heat cycles. The engine I have in my current Supra was painted 5 years ago and still looks as good, not as you can see much of the block.
