When driving the car, I hear this high pitch whine sound while going through the gears. No sound during idle or when at a stop reving the engine. This only happens when going through gears and I think but not 100% sure when turbo is spooling. Does bad bearing on a turbo make this kind of sound? The car was fine yesterday, ran it a little hard but nothing to brag about. This all started when I left for work this morning.
Any ideas where I should look?? ![]() Just wanted to add, I noticed the turbo doesn't seemed to be as strong as it was yesterday. Gauge is showing a less psi reading then normal. Checked the turbo and it does have a little play in the shaft but still spins freely. If anybody has any ideas where I should look, that would be helpful.
