parts from a donor car

i found a 86 na automatic for parts.i have an 89 turbo with 5 speed. besides body, suspension, interior, what else would be recomended to get from the parts car that would be compatible with the 89?

Am not sure if there are that many interchangeable parts. What is wrong with the "donor" car?

body is rotten

Ok, though even my Firechicken had a good frame and bodywork. Ah what color is the dash? What color is the car? My guy has a broken drivers door handle.

well i can use the interior, burgundy leather.panels are in good shape. maybe the subframe.alternator, starter and common things like that.i'm already fixing the body on my 89,so the shell is no use. i'm just curious if there may be other parts or electronics that would work on the 89,or may be hard to come by,that i should grab.

All of the good parts are worth keeping. Sadly most mk3 supras are worth more in parts than as a whole car. I have a stockpile of parts (even bolts) just in case. Keep as much as you can.

Yes I agree as well, so be in no hurry to junk the body. As time goes on the parts will be harder and harder to find. I am also missing the right tray in the trunk. Also my spare tired cover has been replaced by a *sierra* done by a real foxtrot alpha.

So keep everything that is serviceable and can be removed. Even those little parts that can be removed. Sort them in boxes by location removed or system.
