starting

i have a 1987 7mge supra and i was having starting problems, at first it would like never start maybe like once every other day, i changed the spark plugs, spark wires, igniter and coil pack, oil, and battery and i ran injector cleaner, now the car starts but i have to crank it for a while and press the accelerator a couple times to get it started, after its started the oil pressure rises and it goes up to 3k then slowly comes back down till stock idle than every now and then it will drop to like 500 rpm and start to bog a little. What could cause these things?

Hi!
After overhauling my cylinder head on my MA70 7MGTE , I found that the EARTH WIRE to the coils attachment plate was frayed and on the point of parting company , so I made up a new one - twice as strong and supple - and made a good earthing attachment point on the cylinder head (NOT the rocker cover ) -- no problems now ,once the starter turns the engine , Also , I have just this week fitted the relay mod to the starter motor as mentioned in this forum - EXCELLENT! ( Many Thanks for that one ! ) -kicks in every time now - usually : click click, click click click etc.
NOTE : the starter makes a machine-gun noise if the battery is " flat "- a quick charge and starter kicks in every time.
