Sonyps307 Lexus & 550's Join Date: May 2010 Location: Baltimore Posts: 526	Valve tapping noise 7mge Hey guys I have a newly rebuild 7mge with 3-4k miles on it and but the head was just cleaned and checked out and put back togather by the shop with all the old parts with 220,000 miles on them. So now I think it has a valve tap on cold starts. then after 5-10mins when it start to get warm or oil pressure is up it goes away and doesnt come back in till its been sitting long and cools down. Also on first starts it blows a small puff of blue smoke out the back then no more smoke.
