oil pump went out. HELP!

the oil pump went out on my 87 7m! i got it home and took off the oil pan the next day. i did find a teensy bit if metal shavings in the pan. i hope its just the rings fried and NOT the cylinders scored.

and help on this? i want to rebuild the motor but i need some advice
