combustion chamber volume?
so..noob move here. when figuring my compression, failed and didnt do research on combustion chamber volume, just listened to a buddy of mine (thought 30cc's sounded pretty damn small..). not that research has mattered, cuz i cant find jack shiz in about 4 days of straight research.
my question is, has neone CC'd these cyl heads? i really need to figure out the size and nail down my static compression. i know i can bleed some down with cam adjustment, but my previous calculation of 10.01:1 is a tad high, especially with the supercharger in the works. i plan on using an intercooler and water meth (having freinds who know snow performance owners kinda rocks.) but i fear it will still ping under certain situations. if neone knows the size, lemme know. if not, i will just have to do the measurements myself, eh. big syringe and some water wetter, tally ho! |
figured it out, after about 30 mins. did a few measurements on all the chambers. i came up with 38.5-39 cc's from 1-6, keep in mind my head has been milled .008". so standard would be about 40cc's. neway, decent info if you wanna figure ur compression after a rebuild and dont wanna do the cc'ing urself.

Thanks for the update, and this makes sense.
