studs are overkill for n/a. i got them like i said, for a smoking deal, and i plan to boost later. bolts are more than sufficient 99% of the time, if not stock bolts, then ARP bolts.
a reconditioned head should have been milled, new cams/reground cams, new valves, retainers, keepers, springs, buckets, shims and all checked to spec. call them an ask them what their reconditioned head includes. if they cant tell you everything or shrug their shoulders, be questionable. |
yes headbolts need to be re torqued after a few heat cycles.. or maybe your shop over torqued them to start with.. don't think thats the best idea.
