What color should I paint it?
 

I have a 1990 MKIII Turbo, it's black and is in need of a paint job. The previous owners seem to have painted it before but it must have been a really cheap job because the paint is cracking and is just ugly at this point. I wanted your opinions on color. I'm thinking white because it doesn't oxidize as easily as the black, keep in mind that this thing has to sit in the sun during the day when parked because I live with my mom (only 19 here) and she want's the off street parking spot. I don't mind washing the car on a regular basis.

white will look nice , but it will be more steps you got to do because you have to change the color on the title and will have to strip everything apart, what about jet-black , thats a nice black color. take care and good luck.:bigthumb:

As long as you clean it and keep up with the waxing any paint will last longer

Ohhhh.... yeah I don't wanna go through messing with the title, maby I will keep it black in that case. How often would I need to wax it then? Jet black would be very cool though.

No less then every 6 months. More if it sits in the sun alot (wax helps reflect the sun rays).

Oh ok, thank you guys. Yeah im gonna stick with black, wish i could do another but the title change is gonna be a hassle. Can't wait to get this thing looking as good as it runs!
