1jz swap into 89 supra???
 
Sooo i have a 1989 Toyota supra with a blown 7Mge at the moment and a W58 five speed tranny. I was thinkin about pursuing a JZ swap but i need to kno what all i need...and i mean everything. And sorta an outline as to how i would do it....i also wanna know which website is the bet to buy the JZ from....id really appreciate it, im jus startin into all this lol

you could try jdm engine zone
are you sure the 7m doesnt just have a blown head gasket?

The easiest way is to get a 1jz front clip and just swap everything over

Basically this is the small supra forum. The 1jz swap is very common with mk3 supras, so I would try supramania for a good write up.

I have an 89 supra that i did a 1j swap in. I am makin a how to thread for this site as soon as i can find time to write it. I have tonz of pics and instructions to do the swap. It is actually a pretty straight forward swap until the electrical which i cover in depth.... please bare with me. As these detailed how to's take time! hopefully I can do it all this weekend! Id be happy to answer any questions you have till then!
