New 1987 mkiii supra only 34000 miles!!

Just bought myself an 87 supra last week, non turbo, for 7 grand at my local Toyota dealership. The dealership had just dropped the price from 15 grand when I bought it. I couldnt resist the buy because the car had 34578 miles on it and not a speck of rust. It runs great, and the smallest imperfection that I've found is a tiny dent on the drivers door and some minor paint chips. It is a 5-speed manual, 7mge. Ive been thinking about ugprades for the car, and am considering intake headers and new full exhaust. And suggestions?

Well it looks like you got a nice supra that was stored away and not beat on, so keep it that way. Its too bad it has that color interior, personally i've never been a fan but it does look in nice condition. The car is still very old and for the price you paid for it I would keep it as stock as possible. The headers for the 7mge are really not worth the effort from experience and there are not too many catbacks for a 7mge so you probably should just pick a good muffler and have one made if you like with a nicer cat. For now I would make sure you get good insurance on it in case of a wreck since the book value is no where near what you paid for it. But anyway it looks like a good find.

Is there anything else I could do to make the car louder?

It all depends on what muffler you put on it. But I wouldn't mess with a car that I paid 7k for when you could buy a $1500 one and do with what you please.

lawl. and here i was wondering why you paid 7k for it.
i mean yea the body is in great shape.. hoorah. and the engine has low miles on it.
you do know that you could of picked up one for 500 and restored it probably cheaper. defiantly cheaper then 15k. your dealership must be one hell of a salesmen.
anyhow enough knocking.
to make it louder? take the cat off =)

I agree. that is just amazing, my jaw just dropped. it's clean for what it is and low mileage but no way. 7g...wow. thats a Jz or Uz swap tenfold in a roller or shell.

Not to sound like a jerk but 15k is only about 6k less than what it cost in 1987 and it is basically a base model. Plus in 1987 there where about 30k made compared to 1200 in 1992. Its not like it is a 2000gt or a mk4 supra TT. If I where you I would preserve it as a nice example of a stock mk3 to help keep its value. 99% of the supras out there have something modified on them.

i bought it for 7, not 15.

I was just saying that to even ask 15K is crazy but obviously they weren't serious about the price or they would not have sold it for 7k.
