Yes you have to unbolt the whole fuse box there is two tabs that release that spot then the wire is bolted to the Connetors mine doesn't have a wire it's a fuse

Yeah, later model MKIII's they replaced the link wire with a link fuse. IIRC, in the future you can just put one of the fuse-type in there. Just be sure to get the one for the proper amps.
