radiator plug broke!
I noticed I was leaking coolant from the radiator plug, so I go to replace it and find it's half broken, so I can't get it out (it's the plastic kind you screw in by hand). How can I go about removing it? I was thinking about making two slots with a dremel tool deep enough to take out with a phillips screwdriver. Anyone have a better solution?
I don't understand why anyone would make these stupid plugs out of plastic... :squint: |

As for removing it, go buy an easy out. |

haha, I meant why plastic and not some other composite that doesn't break so easily, though I suppose a properly insulated metal plug would work just fine.

If you think plastic sucks when it breaks off just wait until you break off a bolt in there. ;)
Besides, if you've got to tighten it so much that breakage is a common problem you're overtightening it. |
