manual boost control in cab

hey guys and gals, anyone running incab manual boost control? i am curently using a stock actuator and a cheap boost/bleeder valve to raise boost but it overshoots sometimes and works best under the hood close to turbo.

but my friend uses a modified air regulator with a dual port waistgate actuator diapham to more acurately raise boost on his turbo rig with less overshoot and faster spool up. So i welded in a second port on a spare actuator i had laying around and sealed all the leaks on the new side of the diaphram. It seems to work properly on the bench and i am installing it tomarrow. ill let ya know if it works with the idea being that you put pressure on both sides of the diaphram to keep it closed harder and close faster...? just wondering if i am alone here or any one else is running similar boost controller.

thanks ppl..

Theory sounds stable as far as closing faster, but i'm not sure about closing harder, especially if both sides are fighting each other. unless one side shuts off, then it sounds reasonable that it would shut harder. Interested to see your results. Good luck. BTW, you running a Metal Head Gasket?

actuator

ya it works ok on the bench, however i just dont trust this modded actuator so i ordered a new dual port actuator. i could not get the new side of the actuator to seal good enough around the actuator rod. And no, i wish i would have replaced the bhg 2 yrs ago with a new metal gasket but i went with a toyo dealer gasket. I was just trying to get the car running then and i was poor at the time. so i dont go over 14 psi for now. blew the waistgate vacume line last week and i went over 20psi on accident once. but so far so good, still holding in there.

thanks
