Sure anything can be done with enough time and money but it would probably be more wise to find a mustang for it.

yeah i thought it would be a pain

Not a big pain if you know a fabricator and know how to measure space for clearance. Shouldn't be any harder than the guys swapping in SBCs except that you're going to find a lot fewer people to ask about specific problems.

Wha-What??

A v6 can be installed into the MK3 pretty easily. Its a small engine lengthwise compared to the stock 7M (or 1J in later models), and the engine bay is more than wide enough for almost anything. If you are comfortable with some fabrication, you could build a motor mount. That would be the easiest thing, and least expensive. If you aren't good with the physical work, but can make the design, draw it up and send it to your local shop. it can be done in a few days.
If you don't have a clue where to start, maybe someone here will have an existing mount plan that you can use.

Before you take on dropping in this motor, what are you planning? Serious performance, or daily driver?
Personally, a V6 won't give you the kind of performance an Inline 6 will when it comes to tuning. The mustang engines are great, but don't make very reliable horsepower in my opinion. (Compared stage for stage with a 7M)
They are more prone to having a blown engine in the long run than a 7M with a properly torqued head gasket...

What are you planning for this car?
