Just want to make sure i can do this
Let me start by telling you all my upgrades. ic piping, 2.5 intercooler, flowdyne radiator, dragster 3inch exhaust and hks downpipe 3inch.
lexus maf *not install yet I just recieved the christmas gifts i bought myself. 1. walbo 255 fuel pump 2. rc 550 injectors 3. greddy boost controler I want to get a few other things, but if I spend another dollar on this car right now, my wife will kill me. lol. I plan to install everything sometime this week. What i want to know is if i install all this, do you think i will need anything else my SUPRA to run properly. Like i said before i really don't have more money right now. But at the same time iI don't want to damage anything. thanks |
I would wait till i had a wideband o2 sensor on it before i changed my fuel system at all. However there are quiet a few that run 550's/walbro/ and lexus with any issues

did he have a FPR anywhere in there? probably gonna need that to. |
with the wide band o2 i'm guessing i need a air fuel ratio gauge.
and i don't have a fuel pressure regulator also with what i'm gonna have in my supra how high would you reccomend boosting and what kind of hp do you think i should be putting out |

i wouldnt go over 14 less you get some forged internals. I would of went with an upgraded ct-26 before i got the injectors and what not. might as well put that on your list my upgrade list went turbo / intercooler then standalone fuel management |
i have not done the headgasket but im pretty sure it has been done. i've had the car almost 1 year and it has 210k.
i dont want to do the headgasket yet. i know the dangers but like i said im prety sure its been done. the car sound and runs great. any way to check for mhg? i dont mind blowing the headgasket. then its easier to explain to my wife that i need 2 grand to rebuild. right now i boost to almost 8psi... what do you think i should boost to and what hp do you think i will be putting out? Also thinking about sneaking a few extra bucks to get a wideband o2s. and ideas on a good ones to get... i was thinking aem.. \\ tanks |
any answer to previous post?
|
210k seems a little high to be worried about adding hp.
|
LOL. anything that breaks, i'll just have to fix..
|
aem eugo wideband.. did i spell that right. pff
or LC1. street glow got some good looking things. you dont need a metal headgasket less your trying to push some serious boost n hp.. talking 20psi and 500 hp. there is no set grade on what you've done to your car and what will see in hp gains. |
AEM UEGO Gauge-Type Wideband
i was just confused, wondering with this set up and how it works. what i mean if i hook this up, i will get the reading my AFR, but how will the stock ecu now gets its signal and i,ve got no way to adjust reading
i did not buy it yet its a toss up between afpr and this gauge. i cant afford to buy too much right now...but gonna to squeeze some money to get something else. any feedback will be appreciated. |
i didnt understand any of that.
|
lmao:crazy:... i didnt understand it while i was writing it.
i'll try to explain a little better. right now i dont have a AEM UEGO Gauge-Type Wideband. are their any problems if i use that and i dont have anything to adjust the air fule ratio? |

A wide band like the AEM UEGO is not necessary but you do need: Walbro pump 550cc injectors lexus maf or the LIPP maf FPR Basically by installing the lexus MAF with your 550cc injectors it helps to balance the extra fuel with extra air. http://www.suprasonic.org/public_htm...exusnotes.html You can leave out the MAF but then you would need a way to tune and the ability to see the air/fuel ratio. It is only a sensor so does not effect anything only gives you more information. |
thank for the help
|
installing your mods that have to do with air to fuel ratio you have two options.. one standalone like Maft or tuning with an air flow controller and a afr guage.
installing the lex kvam with the 550cc injectors would be considered standalone. |

Step by step guide to the installation. Also gives good details behind whats going on, worth reading in full before starting the modifcation. |
