Plug Wire Removal?

Do I need to remove the whole TB to get some of the plug wires out? Also is there a easier way to remove and replace plugs? Tryin to give this car some care. 87 Supra N/A Auto

Yeah, you're pretty much stuck removing the "Y" pipe (upper intake plenum) to get to those 2 spark plugs and wires. Don't forget to replace the gasket on the intake

For plug wires you don't need to remove the Y pipe, just unbolt the throttle body, disconnect the IAC hose (the 1" hose in the front side of the TB), the throttle linkage and the one vacuum hose running to the thermostat housing and then flip the TB over so it rests on the Y pipe.
