Just a little Hello

Hello. :wavey:
I am not yet a SUPRA owner. Let me give you a little history. Sometime around 1992 my sis started dating a guy (Who is now her husband of 15 years.) who owned a 1986 Nissan 300ZX Turbo. This was the first tuner car I had ever ridden in. The sports car bug was planted there and has never quite gone away. In 1995 I married my first wife & had our son, my performance car hopes went on the backburner and I had to settle for a Ford Escort ! ICK! Then in 1997 came the divorce, so that wiped me out for a while. In August of 2000 I married the RIGHT woman and have been very happily married every since. Back to the point, In 2001 the movie “Fast & Furious” came out, and rekindled the tuner car flame. So, naturally, I did what 78% of the other Nimrod’s did, I went out & bought the first Eclipse I found (Actually, it was a Plymouth Laser, same difference.) stuck a spoiler & rims on it and at least could PRETEND I had something cool & fast. In all truth & actuality, it was most likely the SLOWEST car I have ever owned! It was the BASE model with the 92 Horsepower 1.8L SOHC engine! HA!!!! 0-60 was about 2 years.
So then in 2007 I bought a Chrysler Sebring LXi. This, ironically, is ALSO based on a Mitsubishi Eclipse. But at least it had a V-6, and it already had a true CAI, Magnaflow exhaust and KGB struts all around. Even though it was by NO means a “Performance” car, at least it had enough power to get out of it’s own way!! 0-60 was something like 8 ? seconds. That car got me a little closer, but not enough. It was all I could afford, and being unsatisfied with 8 second to 60 runs, I sold it & got deep and heavily involved with the world of Isuzu’s, and in particular, the Trooper model. I bought an awesome 1994 Trooper, put 5” of lift under it & a new set of 33x12.50x15 mud tires, and off road the heck out of it! Was lots of fun for a while. But I still longed for a proper tuner car the whole time I owned it.
So here I am today. Starting a new search for my next project. I have looked at some 300ZX’s, 3000GT VR-4’s, all the “Pony Cars”, even drooled on a 240SX with a SR20DET with a Turbonetics aftermarket turbo, intercooler, new injectors, the works. Owner claimed 400+ hp, but I made it very clear to him we would have to run it on the Dyno before I believed him. Not that they can’t, I just have learned not to trust anyone when it comes to buying anything. It is buyer beware from here on for me! lol. Now for why I am posting all of this on HERE, Their are 4 cars that make my heart “skip a beat”. 1) Ferrari Testarossa. (That will never happen) 2) Aston Martin Vanquish ( Again, will never happen) 3) C4 & C5 Corvette’s (obtainable & reasonably priced, but very common in my neck of the woods) and 4) the MKIII Supra’s!!!
So for the Supra it has going for it
A ) A car I could be passionate about.
B ) NOT a car you see on EVERY Frigg’n street corner in town.
C ) FAST car, even with the stock turbo setup. ( Always room for more power though! )
D ) B-E-A-Utifull car. Timeless. 40 years from now it will STILL look good. And ( Hopefully, being a Toyota ) Reliable as a daily driver. I say daily driver, I actually have a company truck & free gas in that truck through the week, so this will be more of a weekend toy for me.

I have a few questions, but have not run through the search feature yet, so I’ll do that first before I start asking dumb stuff like a noob usually does. I may be new to this forum, but NOT to internet forums in general ! lol. I am a Christian, and if I EVER make a statement that sounds harsh, mean, or a little off, I assure you, it was not meant to! lol.
