A whole cold air intake with piping for 20 bucks? Damn!!!!!

... $20? Where did you find that?

Only pipe I know at Autozone like that is $39 - metal polished straight pipe with a bend on it - and it doesn't come with a filter!

If you have the part number, post it here if you could, I'm in need of an NA intake too

I got mine from autozone like a year ago from the clearance bin so thats probably why it was that cheap. But still $40 for a cold air intake is cheap

Well...I MUST throw this out to you. DON'T drive thru water or big puddles with the intake so low ! My daughter blew up her 2000 Neon (rod thru the block) because the intake (factory) is at the bottom of the bumper. Integras, and lots of others are too low, also. She turned onto a street at night (10-15mph?) and could not tell that the water had formed a 12" lake across the road.

I put my K&N directly onto the AFM, then channeled air up to the opening from the front grill using some galvanized sheet metal.

There's an article on the SOGI site about using some clothes dryer ducting to do what i did.

Also, my friend just threw a rod thru his block on a Scion. Water...bad!!!

well to be honest with you i never drove my supra in the rain. i guess im lucky like that but in all reality you would have to be carefull on rainy days. You could put those cheap rain/air bypass sensors on but i dont like how those look.

Can you use the Intake pipe as a short ram? I know cold air is supposed to be better but mine is a daily driver.

Well, what happens when you drive around town is you will actually loose hp if you don't have cold air (out in front of car) going into the engine. I see alot of little street cars with what 'they' call a cold air intake (I manage a smog shop here in CA). Only problem is, its picking up the air from under the hood, and usualy near the radiator. That hot air causes hp loss.

As soon as I boxed around my K&N thats mounted directly onto my AFM, and ran ducting to it from the front grill area, I noticed the increase in hp (pickup from a stop).
