it's easiest to pull with the transmission attached... if you think pulling it apart in the car is bad, you might want to start thinking about how bad putting it back in is going to be.
cant offer much other advice than make sure the transmission is being supported at the same angle and speedo cable is disconnected... same for the wiring.
