Hi all,
I had a look and can't see this asked anywhere so here i go..


My dad has a 87 supra with a 7MGE in it, I would like to know if he can put a 5MGE in it out of a cressida? And if not are the heads interchangable?

The 5M will *fit* in the MKIII just fine, although, I can't think of any good reason to swap it over. You'll have to make some changes (it's not a direct swap) to accommodate the 5M or you could hybridize it as you suggest... for information on that look in the MKII Supra section and at the website www.supracelica.com.

obvious but i will point it out that the 5mge is a downgrade, and it required another electrical harness.
its really not that expensive to find and buy a 7mge and put it right back in, well not as cheap as putting a 5mge, but then you would need the wiring.
