checking ecu

i am testing my ecu. B+ to e1 and the tsrm says there should not be voltage.i have voltage.does this mean the ecu is done. thanks.

Where do you read that there's not supposed to be any voltage across the two? Allowing for leakage there going to be at least a little, but given that E1 is the ECU ground I fail to see how it is possible for there not to be voltage across them during normal operation.

well it's true, reading > than me. if i read it right the second time, there should be voltage with the ignition switch on.

Gotta say.. you sure had me for a moment... I was thinking you'd found one of the biggest typo's in that book to date (there are some, compare the wiring diagrams in the TEWD to the TSRM some time. ;) ).

So, all's well?

things are getting better.at least it's not the ecu.and thanks for your time.
