yea. put the car in your mom or dads name. have them add the car. and you just pay for it..

or sell the car. I need a fan shroud, how much shipped to 44646?

your saying that Canada auto insurers don't insure cars 15 years or older? So the vehicle is in your name.. you own the registration and have a valid drivers license?

im gonna call b/s on this one..

well problem solved then. probably cheaper if you put it in your parents name. but good luck, glad you found an insurance company.

Green, their licenses are have graduated increments of priviledge. It's not unlike some of the restrictions in other countries, such as not being allowed to operate certain classes of vehicles (see: TURBO'D) until you are past a certain age with NO infractions. Hell our insurance companies do it... they just do it by age and points. We just don't have lines actually drawn (except for that whole 25 year old thing).

learn something new every day.. yea I got a huge insurance break when i turned 25. I can now own a good sized engine motorcycle w/o having to pay 1k a month in insurance fee's (im exaggerating but not by allot) If i would ever choose to own a bike.

25 year old thing?

Whats this 25 year old thing? Vintage cars are insured all over the place. I have friends with complete kit car Batmobiles built off Lincolns or Corvettes that are insured.

16 year olds and Supras as a mix tends to raise everyones rates. Rates are based on risk and statistics that tell any parent a Supra is not a good choice for a new young driver we all know that, at 16 I wrecked my Dads Totota Tercel cause I was drunk but when I explained it to him I was dodging a squirrel, ..... I told a fib! This might be why his parents usually have not helped their teenagers get sports cars as a first car.

It's admirable that this young fellow earned, bought and wants to insure his own vehicle. His rates will be extreme to say the least. probably $1500 a year for the basic coverage. Or am I way off base? What are your insurance premiums that you are being quoted?
