Default Mk3 exhaust upgrade for under $50.00!!!

OK Guys you are all getting to know me a little bit. I am the low budget wonder boy or more affectionately called the cheap bastard! Here is my low budget MK3 Exhaust upgrade for under $50.00.

I have to be honest with you, I have checked out all the videos on You Tube of Exhaust systems costing hundreds to put on our cars and I think mine sounds as good or better. Let me know what you think.... Honestly!

Here is a video for you to review the sound.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlB-kKNZvWo

Here are pics of the installation!

Exhaust Clamps $8.00
Chrome Exhaust Cannon $20.00
Exhaust Sealant: $8.00
2 1/2" Exhaust Pipe Extension $8.00

Home Depot Pipe Hanger: $6.00

Total cost: $48.00

WHAT DO YOU THINK? Thanks! Scott

Where do you get this "exhaust cannon"? WOW. I was just logging on to find out what kind of exhaust I could put on my supra. The 90 N/A 7MGE. This is a muffler only upgrade? I have not been able to find anyone who makes performance exhaust products for my supra. Any suggestions?

Default Raspy sound?

Nope I have had it out on the road under load and I have not yet heard anything like a Raspy sound. It sounds pretty much like what you hear in the video. No Raspers at all. Not sure what that even would sound like but I am sure if it sounds like a Rasp sound I don't have that. I sealed the pipes real good so there is no leak, Perhaps that is the raspy sound some are describing??? It sounds nothing at all like the stock muffler. The stock muffler sounds like a family station wagon or any other car.

Hey Kevin! I don't even know who makes this exhaust there are no markings on it. Some kid in a Parking lot sold me the cannon years ago for $20.00. Just walked up to me and asked if I wanted to buy it. It looked good, brand new, heavy and well built so I figured it had to be worth something and I could use it someday or sell it on Ebay so I bought it from him for $20.00. I have seen very similar looking exhausts on ebay. I have no way of knowing which one is the same as mine or like mine or if it is the same quality but I have seen them up there for as low as $29.00.

Thanks Guys for checking this out.

Default Shipping charges

Be careful of the shipping charges on inexpensive items. Sometimes sellers jack up the shipping and offer an item real cheap. Often people buy without looking at the shipping charges.

I have a muffler that I took off of someones car by request. I have held on to it for a little while now. It looks similar. I think i now have an application for it. My car is bone stock all original and the exhaust on it is like brand new... no kidding, Im leary about cutting on it. Do you think that it is a bad idea? By the way, that sounds excellent.

Default Muffler

If the muffler is like new you have a chance of removing it without damaging the pipe to it. Spray it down with PB Blaster let is sit a couple of days, remove the clamps and see if you can work it free. If this gives you a good one that your not gonna use I could use that on my Black Supra, the exhaust is blown on that as well though a generic stock looking replacement that will fit is available from AutoZone for around $29.00. I suppose I should just get this for my Black Supra.
