7mgte rebuild questions
 

Ok soo I have a 1990 mk3 with a 7mgte. I discovered that the car has had a blown headgasket sence I bought it and now it has rod knock and it won't keep coolant in the engine (partialy due to a malfunctioning thermostat and broken temp sensor) with 238k miles on it I was woundering if you would recomend a rebuild or just going with a new engie entirely. I figuered if I got a new engine it would have to be partialy rebult (M
HG arp head and conectig rod studs, berigs etc) anyway so I might as well rebuild my curret block. Please give me your opinion on this.

If I'm rebuilding is there ay specific tips I need to folow iv done some homework on this subject but I like to get as much information as possable before I start tearing my baby apart again.

I will also need a wiring harnes the one in the car is in very bad shape and is coered in greese and oil ad other micalanious fluids that hav leaked over the past 20 years.

Also please let me know of any reputable engine sellers or engine rebuild kits that are worthe the money and are quality goods.
