Yes and no... it all depends on you and if you have the tools. it's more timely then anything. doing the HG on mine rite now. but hears a tip... if you can, go for an HKS Metal HG. you'll also need to buy a head gasket repair kit. the HKS only come with the HG it's self. The kit comes with all the intake/ exhaust gaskets, + all the needed rubber seals such as injecter o-rings, valve cover gaskets. look online. do some research... make sure you know what your jumping into! you WILL need to have the head resurfaced! thats crucial. But if you just go with stock HG and stock specs the HG will blow again after 60-100k miles. for instance, every MkIII supra 7M series engine blows the HG due to improper head torque. factory torque is 54... required torque is 74... alot of people miss that fact. in the end it'll run you around $200-450... for all the hoses and parts... depending on what metal HG you go with... theres a about 6... best bet is to go for a 1.5MM HG... look into it and you'll see what i mean. If you have questions you can e-mail me Mike.MkIII@yahoo.com i check it daily.

First off, there is no need for a MHG for the n/ a . The reason the HG’s went out is due to the low torque spec on the head bolts . A MHG is for high hp numbers and not an n/a capable of way less than 300hp at most. And $200-450 is probably not going to cut it for parts and machine work on the head. The main things to insure a good long lasting head gasket are:
· ARP head bolt or studs(preferably studs)
· Clean and chase the threads in the block
· Copper Gasket Spray
· Make sure the head is with in spec before re installing
