Default AC Not blowing cold / AC fan not running

1988
Non Turbo
Automatic Trans

When I turn on the AC inside the car it is not blowing even cool. I dont think the clutch is kicking in. If may have a refridgerant leak. But also at running temp if I turn the AC on the condensor fan does not come on.
With the car not runningThis all worked last summer. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated

If there is no refregerant in the system the compressor won’t run. So I would try refilling it with new 134a since the r12 has probably leaked out. All of the r12 probably leaked out over the winter time.

If it had 12 before you don't want to just throw 134a in it. The two aren't compatible, oils or refrigerant. He'll want to replace the dryer, expansion valve, and a few of the seals (at a minimum) if he wants to convert it over.

And you do convert, you may well want to consider a new parallel-flow condensor as the OEM condensor won't work the best in the world with 134a.
