Default Upgrading ct26?

Hey when people talk about upgrading the ct26, do they mean simply buying a bigger turbo or do they send in the actual ct26 and have it upgraded? If so, what is done to these turbos to upgraded them?

I am thinking on upgrading my ct26 because I am building my motor. What would be the best upgrade to do on a ct26?

Thanks for the help in advance

There are places you can order an upgraded ct26 which utilizes the exhaust housing and they put a bigger compressor housing on along with the wheel. They come in different sizes the next step up from stock is the 57 trim. What kind of horsepower are you looking for? Go to driftmotion.com. Usually the 57 trim is really popular and capable of around 400 whp.

I wouldn't go beyond a 57 trim upgrade.... most people learned hard lessons and a lot of shops won't even do it any more... those that do often will not warranty it, IIRC.
