I am thinking the same way. It has to be associated to the fuel and runing it our then getting low and putting in the bad gas. I am going to check codes tonight after work and will post my results tomorrow with what it is.

That is definately the problem if it occured the way you have explained it. I know you probably know this but it is a HUGE NO NO to run out of gas in a car. Especially in an older vehicle like yours and mine. These cars have had all kinds of crud and junk building up in the tank and when you run out of gas it tries to suck up everything and the crap is sucked into the lines and filter. I wouldn't worry much though, you probably will only have to change your fuel filter now. Let me know how it goes from there!

I agree. Change the fuel filter, and put some sea foam in your tank... its kinda bad for your gaskets and stuff but if you have that much gunk in there i would say clean it as much as you can. When you do take the filter out, check how much gunk is in there. When i changed mine, i knew i had a problem. I dropped the tank and it was rather rusty :/ just give it a good clean and a REALLY good dry and put some Stabile or Sea foam or water removing agent in there with your next tank of gas. Good luck!

It runs. Last night we got to digging and found some fraied wire that was grounding out on the top of my engine. once we fixed the wire and secured the loom away from the motor it ran perfect. good boost all the way through and no problems. We also replaced the terminal ends on my battery connections in the trunk so the combo helped get enought juice to run the electric properly and without a short. I am just glad it has been fixed.
