well my name is bryan and im helping my freind out with his mk3 , wev been working on it for a long time now and today we got to crank it up, butt there is a problem and maybe you guys can help us out. ok we start the car and everything is fine but there is this whistling noise coming around the manifold and the injectors (we have a custom manifold with mulitlayer paper gasket and HKS 550 injectors), what do you guys think it is ??? the whistling sounds like a air leak to us but we cant find it . we had this problem on our other setup but we took it to the track and broke somthing so we just got it back up again ....... please let us know whats up becuase we want this up and running with no air leaks thanks ........ :D

Use some carb cleaner with a tube and spray in spots until the engine reacts to the spray, that will locate the leak. I'm thinking it's a vacuum line coming from the manifold or if it's custom, it might have a bad weld or the flange isn't straight...
