Supra bogg under boost
Well... i have a problem with my car... Its still currently in a huge rebuild... but i have a question. When i use to slam on the gas, my check engine light would turn on under boost... and it would run ruffly. Any one have a thought of what it could be?

Knock or a knock sensor error... could be an "irregular boost condition" error too, usually due to improperly upping the boost.
Checked for diagnostic codes yet? Details are in the FAQ section if you don't already know how. |

The speedometer is cable driven, it doesn't matter which gauge you use.
The tachometer is different between the non-turbo (7M-GE) and the turbo (7M-GTE). You can either swap out some resistors on the control board in the cluster or you may swap the whole tach mechanism... if you have another cluster, just swap it; Otherwise let me know and I'll dig up the details on what you need to change in the circuit... if you can solder it's not too difficult. |
