well my friend recently gave me his holset hx35, and i was wondering what exactly i need to to make the engine run efficently on 14 psi, i currently have cp pistons in my car now, i was going to be buying a set of 550cc injectors and a lexus afm, what else would i need.

a tuner and someone that knows how to tune it, atleast to run nice and efficiently, also it would be a good idea to get a uego (wideband air/fuel gauge) not a narrow band

ya i am deffiently going to get an aem eugo, and i was going to have sound performance tune it for me. would i be ok just throwing the hx35 on there and only running like 8-10 psi or is that kinda risky

you will probably be fine install your uego first just incase and if your running lean you could just turn down your boost

thats a good idea, then ill just keep adding as i go. would an egt gauge be a good idea to, just as like another way to keep an eye on rich or lean?

Not entirely... there are other reasons you'll see EGT's spike or plummet. The greater the spark advance the cooler your EGTs are (because the fuel is being ignited that much longer before the valves open and thus more of the heat is absorbed into the block, head and piston). A sudden, abnormal spike in EGT may be indicative of serious know which is resulting in the ECU pulling spark advance causing the EGTs to climb (yet it reduces the engine temp)... for example. But yes, EGT does also reflect mixture. EGT has been used for tuning fueling for far longer than AFR. Using both to your advantage is a very good move if you're willing to go the the expense and effort. :bigthumb:

also i was talking to one of my friends who has a 320rwhp supra, and he took it to sound perfomrance to get i tuned. when i asked him what he was using he said an hks vpc and a safc2, i was looking at hks website, and the vpc unit is discontinued. what would be a good relacement to tune with. i know ultimately it would be a standalone, but what else would work

thankyou
