BC Sports BR Type Coilover Damper Kit
Alright, just got these in the mail from wesellcarparts.com, my first question is... does anyone know if these come with pre adjusted settings for an MKIII? Then my next question is, has anyone else tried these out? What do you think of them?
No, coil overs generally do not come preset... actually, I've never heard of any coming preset. No experience with this make though
Any idea on how to setup the ride hight so it doesn't sit lop sided when i install them? Or am I just going to have to play with it on the rack?
So, how did the install go? Have any pics of before and after install? How did you like the coilovers?
Easily comparable to the feel of the TEIN SS damper kit I tested, came with adjustable camber plate and it does get some big camber if you want it, rides really smooth with the dampers in the 1-8 stiffness range, and in the higher ranges makes the 3400lb supra feel like a feather, hardly any roll with the coilovers alone. I'll post some pictures up, I'm still trying to figure out how to get it lower without bottoming out on every small crack. I would recommend this for others looking for something a little cheaper then the TEIN SS series.
This is the only one I have before the coilover swap, its on eiback springs and struts in this picture, right after picking it up from the first owner. http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...erich/tail.jpg |

YAY manual adjustable knobs of imbaness, also my radiator and blow-off valve which i never got to post pictures of in other threads, theres also a custom routed tranny cooler and replaced the hoses with steel braided but i was too lazy to take pictures in the wheel wells |
sorry cre i know when you look at this thread you will cringe for all the bandwidth that was just used ^^
dude just save the pics to your comp and drag n drop..
que? i posted them, not sure if they are up right though. Those coilovers did come with a preset ride hight from the online store i got them, its just a tad lower then stock on the presets.
On a very late note, these did come preset to a fairly normal ride hight, and then... I slammed it... had to roll out the front wheel wells pretty good and do some light trim cutting to keep the tires from rubbing on turns with dips, great drifting suspension, had them for a few months now and they are awesome!

This is how shes looking now...

As you can see from the paint coming off my fenders on the front tires, it took some tuning but I like these more then the TEIN SS coilovers I have on my 1990 supra. These are very robust coilovers but, if looking to buy these you need to get 2009 or newer production of the coilovers. The older ones are not made with the same materials and are much lower quality build. I have personally gone drifting on these in the mountains and taken them to the track 15 times, they still feel brand new and supra's aren't the most forgiving on suspensions. Wish I would have bought two sets of the BC's instead of the TEIN and BC's, mostly because of the price difference.

Yeah mine was lower, but because of rough roads and the touge style drifting I like to do I had to bring mine up as well... The front end on our girls are not nice or light on tires xD
Ugh I do like the black supra's... |
