Default 1990 supra turbo problem.

Ok i have a 1990 supra turbo targa top. im am putting the motor from an 87 supra automatic turbo into it. decided to replace head gasket with metal one and bring head torque up to proper specs before putting this one in to try to avoid the infamous blown head gasket. so the head is off my motor and i have a few questions. first, the top of my pistons are two dif colors, outside lip is black with deposites. typical. but the dip in the center is a clean white color? any ideas what that could be from? FYI i have never heard this motor run, bought it from a guy who said it was good but i wanted to know what i had in it. ok second question. the coolent passeges on top of block and bottom of head are both coated with a white residue. any idea why? and last, when i removed turbo, i had to remove the oil passege between turbo and block, i unbolted the tube from the block and i have got no clue what the name for the gasket that goes between them is. and another question. every auto parts plce i talk to does not have proper intake manifold gaskets. they are all for non turbo model. the lower two are the same for turbo and non, but upper one that bolts to 3000 pipe is a single circle on turbo, but all the sets they have are the non turbo style cuz the upper gasket has the two holes where the pipe between throttle body and intake mani makes a Y shape. where can i get correct gasket?

The white material is most likely HG "fix" additive.

Get the gasket from Toyota... I don't think you'll find it separate from a full gasket set any other way.

The gasket that I think you're looking for is the throttle body base gasket. IIRC, on the turbo models that's what bolts up to the upper intake plenum.

From what I can find online it looks like that gasket is Toyota Part 22271-42040

For 95% of the gaskets any make will do just fine. The kit from this eBay seller is rather popular though and inexpensive: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/86-93...Q5fAccessories

I wouldn't trust the included HG much, but I've read it's built like Toyota's.
