hey im thinkin of buyin an mk3 supra. need some help here.

okay so heres the thing i love workin on cars, but i'm used to workin on american cars. i just sold my 00 mustang and i found an 87 mk3 non-turbo.
im tryin to see what would be some good upgrade parts for it like exhaust, intake, springs, you know the works like that. iv been doin some research on thembut most the stuff i find is for turbos. what would be a good website i could look at parts? and i really wanna get like an 89 front end on it or a some kind of front bumper for it. so i would be thankful if you guys could really help me out here.
cause it has come down to this or an 300zx. imgoin with more of the supra. and with your guys help thats prob what i go with.
thanks for your time.

if your gonna buy a supra. go turbo!
cause even if you upgrade the heck outa your non turbo. you might top out at 250.. go turbo

Unless you upgrade the non-turbo with a....

wait for it....

wait for it...

TURBO!!!

In which case, don't get a N/A... it takes a lot more work to just get one safely ready for a turbo than it takes to just buy a turbo model and start upgrading.

Upgrades... well, bigger IC, new IC piping, larger injectors and fuel controller... But first you need to focus on fixing what's broken.

Yes, you can swap a 89+ bumper on to a pre89. You need the whole assembly if you want it all to bolt straight up... this includes the upper nose, the bumper skin the bumper support, the grills, turn signals, fog lights and mounts, and I think the fog light undercovers are different too. It's not fun trying to just make it work by mixing the parts up.

welll my only prob is i don't wanna go turbo yet. i wanna wait awhile for that and when that time comes im gonna just switch it over with another motor. i just wanna know whats so good stuff like a goood sounding exhaust. and little stuff like that.
and where could i get that front end at?

why spend more money then you have to? and your casual phrase of "im just gonna switch it over." Isn't so casual once you start to do it. Will probably end up being more expensive then just buying a turbo car flat out.
but to answere your question about exhaust, check the faq there is a great thread about non turbo mk3 exhausts started by Mrnickleye

Well, I'd start with upgrades you can still use when if you do swap a GTE in: Fuel, suspension, cooling, brakes, wheels. Then, if you decide to stay N/A worry about building the engine up.... it'll give you time to decide.
