masterpower turbo
 

im was thinking of upgrading to a masterpower turbo ive seen nothing but bad things on youtube r they really that bad?

there is a huge thread on masterpower turbo's over at supramania.
the jist of thread is there one of the cheaper turbo's on the market, if they don't last very long its not expensive to buy another one.
or buy it and have it rebuilt, now you have a quality turbo still under the price of a garret or other well known company's. hop on supramania and search for it. I stumbled across it about 3 months ago.
IIRC several people have purchased it. one took it to his trusted turbo shop and the guy said it was mostly garbage and re-built it. the other (s) put it on the car as is and didn't report any problems in the first year. I believe another one chimed in and said he had his for 3 years w/o crazy boost and no problems. there might be updates since the last time I read the thread, might be worth a re-read to see how the rest of the "tests" came out.
