Question 1jz conversion base car- 7mgte or 1g-gteu model?

Hey all,

im thinking about getting a mkIII supra 89 and onward, but the way i see it the 1jz is the motor to have. Unfortunately coming across a mkIII with one is pretty rare so i guess i,ll have to get different one and convert it. My question is, what model would provide a better base for a conversion? One with a 3.0 7m-gte or a 2.0 1g-gte? I.e. engine mounts and part compatibility. I,ll probably be sticking with that engine for awhile until i could source/afford a decent 1jz mill.
