safc question
This may be a dumb question but I will ask it anyways, I have an apexi v-afc2 from a friend. Can I use this in place of a s-afc2 and just not use the v-tec portion or will that not work. This is for my 90 supra with the 7mgte. Thanks for any input that may help:confused:

Post a link to the PDF of the instruction manual and I'll look it over... I'm inclined to say no, but that would be nothing more than a guess. I think the one thing it's going to really come down to is if the VAFC supports KVAFMs.

sorry not exactly sure how to do that, I found the instructions on the apexi website under the support heading. What should I be looking for and I will see if I can find it. Thanks for your help.

I dug up the manuals.
I could speculate about the compatibility but the fact is that the published documentation doesn't provide enough information to draw any hard conclusions. You could try powering the unit up and looking through the menus for the settings specified for the SAFC II... that's where I'd start. SAFC II User's Manual http://www.apexi-usa.com/content/pdf6118.pdf VAFC II User's Manual http://www.apexi-usa.com/content/pdf6132.pdf Apex'i Wiring Diagrams and Manuals http://www.apexi-usa.com/info/?id=5383 |
I will do that, thanks for the help.
