Insurance

I was wondering if anyone has different insurance than the regular everyday driver insurance, I am asking this because I don't want to get in an accident my fault or not and only get 3 or 4k for a car i have more than 8k in.

There are a few options, you should speak to your insurance agent though... make sure that if there are any mileage restrictions (often the case with classic and collector's policies) that they aren't lower then you will be driving. I some cases you can pay them to appraise the vehicle and add an additional amount of collision and theft coverage. I haven't heard of any where they allow you to specify the amount your car is worth though.

I have a friend that insured his motorcycle for the value of the loan, not just the value of the bike. I know it was appraised, and it costs ALOT of money... I'm not quite sure what all he had to do to get that, I'll see if I can find out from him soon.

i know with my insurance company that if i provide them with reciept of everything that i have put into the car they will pay out plus wut my car is appraised at on book value or if i bring them a legit copy of an appraisers report they will pay that amount out if i wreck the car
