MK3 7mgte with knocking sound

ok i know trhere are a few poste about knocking sounds but havnt seen any with my issure, so here it goes.

i have a knocking sound at about 3000rpm's. it is comming form the top of the engine (almost right the behind the black 7m-gte cover).

some say it is because of low oil, or wrong oil weight.

some say it is rod knock

some say the bearings get stuck because it sat for a while.

i did have low oil pressure, but i was not sure if it was just the gauge, checked and topped it off.

any ideas??????
