Just leave all the adjustments at "0" and you're fine. ;)

man I spent about 3 hours out there today. hooked everything up according to the print out and blah, nothing on start up and I had the all clear code flashing on my dash. maybe something wasn't connected as securely as it should of been. idk. but now im a little sad. cold and hungry. oh and my dash is still torn apart and I have to work at 6am tomorrow.
im including this link

You do still have to setup the SAFC's system for the 7M-GTE... you just don't touch any of the tuning specific settings.

There isent a chance I was looking at this thing upside down could I.? shoot I hope not. when i first accessed the ecu the sticker was facing me. that is me on my back looking up, hah. would looking at it this way be the top of the ecu? so I would of actually had the connections "flipped." that would explain it not turning on.https://www.t-mobilepictures.com/mya...&th=210&s=truehttps://www.t-mobilepictures.com/mya...&th=210&s=true
I used the diagram of the pinout above. and treated it as tho it was still plugged in. example. Rpm signal, first plug, top row, third from the right. and did the same. Unplugged the first harness. top row, grabbed the wire third from the right. (first harness being closest to glove box)

Just open the TSRM to the EFI section and locate the ECU pinout... use that and ONLY that to find the wires you're looking for. The diagram shows the pins as if you're looking into the ECU, so, for the plug you look at the back side where the wires run in. Shouldn't behaving any trouble due to things being flipped, there are pictures of the clips on the plugs so you know what end it up.... just unplug all three, solder/crimp in the new connections and you're done... this really is a 5 minute job... Your next one will be, I promise.

the problem definitely was with my connections. I went through again and made secure crimps using butt connectors and heat shrink. wrapped all the connections in electo tape and used male / female connections for the air pressure connections. held my breath and turned the ignition key on. boom got lights. stays on and reads correctly. hopefully the links and diagrams and the trouble i went through will be helpful to someone else as green as me to install this unit correctly.
now to go put my glove box back together .
-regards

ps. you can clean this up and remove all the ranting. might make a good faq thread.
