Wow! That's ridiculously low... you sure the gauge is reading in psi? :eek3: That low across the board would take some very heavy wear. If you verify the readings and get it apart, take a lot of measurements to make sure it's rebuildable before you spend a penny on machine work.

i use this in both my 92 4runner 3vze and my 87 NA supra mixed with synthetic i saw major improvments in my truck but the supra was less noticable... although my valves are leaking oil into the pistons... not for long@ hello new head!

Just because it's good at hiding problems doesn't mean it's good. PTFE, lead, copper and whatever sludge is loosened up by all the thinners and solvents (which break down into HIGHLY corrosive substances) are NOT a "solution" or "fix" for anything. As I've said before, do some research.

Runner - If you need a new head it's not just for leaking valves.

I totally agree with you Cre! When my husband suggested putting something in to "buy" me another 50,000 (he must have been drinking) miles - I have to say it gave me a sick feeling. You know - the feeling you get when you are doing something horribly wrong! Hiding the problem doesn't help a thing! Then I came across a post about knocking and looked at this link from another post.

I am happy to report that my engine sounds nothing like that one! I just have almost zero compression and a subtle little engine noise. It will not come out of the shop and go back on the road until I do a total rebuild. I can't imagine anyone driving a car sounding like it is throwing bolts.

Working on getting my brother to take a couple weeks off to come give me a hand with it. I let you know what I find when I get inside - but it will be sometime next month. In the mean time it is fine where it is......parked!!!!

As low as your compression results were I'd try another gauge... your may be leaking at the release.

Thanks! I will give it another go this weekend with another gauge.
