550 injector help

can some 1 tell me if i got the 550 injectors would i need to chip my ecu on my mk3 supra turbo or if id need any other mods iv already opened the boost and bigger intercooler

hmm im pretty sure i seen it posted someplace today that there are no better ecu chips for the mk3. i could be wrong don't know but I recall hearing something about that.

550 injectors require a CLIP if there not direct drop ins. let me scan some links i have for injectors and get back to you in about 5

bah I must not of kept anything relating to injectors. when i was researching them for myself i remember finding out I had to get these adapter clips. should be included on whatever you buy. there is a link in supermania forum for making these yourself! oh and there is a difference between high and low impedance injectors. research that before you make your final purchases.

You want low impedance. You'll need to either add a fuel controller or you'll need a different AFM (see: Lexus AFM) or you'll be running horribly rich at WOT. I recommend a fuel controller and proper tuning.

you really don't need fuel injectors less you have power that requires it. otherwise its not gonna do more harm then good. and on a side note, do not buy Venom fuel injectors.

550 injectors

thanks for your reply i will update you on the mods on the car i am running at 10psi off boost at the moment we have a massive intercooler boost controller, fuel cut off and i received today the low resistance direct replacement 550 injectors and i am waiting for the fuel pump. we are planning on putting the sp61gt turbo and i also have the lexus afm body ready to fit. planning on taking it up to about 500 bhp with the lexus afm body and the 550 injectors and bigger fuel pump. will the car be over fuelling. because i have been told that with this set up it will be a perfect match. but i have also been told that it will over fuel. apprantaley with this set up its suppose too trick the computer so the fuel and air flow will be a good match but i am not sure of this. be great full if someone could give me the information i am looking for before i start.

i feel as if i've heard this somewhere before.

Wow, an echo.... echo....

I'm with Green, get a wideband and a fuel controller. You're too far from stock with your setup to just guess and hope that you've maintained some sort of safe balance... besides, there's a lot more power to be had from proper tuning.
